Lloyd Griffin, Marine SurveyorI started my surveying business, Frigate Marine Services, after 30 years of working in the marine industry. My marine experience along with attending the Chapman School of Seamanship for Yacht and Small Craft Surveying Class and the Marine Industry Association (SAMS, NAMS, IAMI, IIMS, ABYC, AIMU and Mariners Club) sponsored continuing education seminars has given me a keen eye to detail as well as the ability to communicate in writing a substantive report with information relevant to the assignment based on my experiences while doing this in a professional manner. My marine experience has been varied from Yacht and Small Craft repair, Commercial, Governmental and Fishing Vessel industries. During this same period, I have participated in all aspects of vessel repair from new construction, extensive modifications and refits, general maintenance and marine construction. As a full time marine surveyor, I have engaged to work in a variety of private marine surveying jobs: Yacht and Small Craft Pre-purchase, Condition and Value, Insurance Policy Renewals, Insurance Damage Claims, IRS Appraisals, Liquidation Appraisals, Expert Witness, Insurance Mediation, Project Management for New Construction and Refits, Marina Inspections and Export Surveys. As well as, the following Commercial Marine Surveying jobs: Drafting Barges, Inspecting Tugs and Barges, On and Off Hire Barge Surveys, Loading Barges, Fishing Vessel Surveys, Dredge Appraisal., Marina Construction, Cargo inspection and Container inspection. My goal is to fulfill his duties as a marine surveyor with integrity, vigilance and pride while continually looking for advancement of abilities and knowledge through continuing education and practical experience.
